The Daily Caveat is written by Michael Thomas, a recovering corporate investigator based in the Washington, DC-area. Michael was a proud co-founder of Caveat Research, LLC., a business-oriented private investigative firm providing sophisticated corporate research and investigative services to corporate boards, law firms, consultancies and investment banks.

Michael has also done time with expert services firm, Round Table Group; consumer safety consultancy, Safetyforum.com; investigative firm, the James Mintz Group as well as the National Archives. He currently works for Capterra, Inc., a vertical search portal for enterprise software selection.

The Daily Caveat began in February 2005 as the official blog of Caveat Research, LLC, focusing on information, issues and incidents of interest to corporate investigators and those we service in the business, legal and investment communities. The blog continues today, in its new home in the continued care of Michael Thomas.
